Troubleshooting Weak Trailer Wiring with Dim Lighting
Question:
CURT 56130 converter on my 2000 Savana connecting to a trailer with LED tail lights seems unhappy. Good connections everywhere and heavy gauge wires on the trailer lighting just replaced but insanely dim trailer lights.

If all of the lights are dim on your trailer wiring that would indicate to me that it's not grounding properly to allow the lights to function. First thing to check would be the main ground wire of the trailer's wiring harness. Make sure it's connected to a clean metal surface on the trailer frame. You can also run jumper wires from the ground wires of the light assemblies back to this circuit to improve the ground as well.
I attached a help article on trailer wiring troubleshooting for you to check out as well.
