Are there specific locations for where the main rails need to be installed?

While there are some guidelines in the instructions for the Saris Cycle Glide Bike Storage System # SA6020-21 (see link) there aren't any specific locations for the main rails in the system. What you'll need to do is locate your ceiling joists and then match those up with the holes in the main rails, being sure to space the main rails out so they are as far apart as possible while still being able to install the gliders.

Once you get the kit I recommend looking over the instructions a few times just to make sure you have a clear idea of what needs to happen. I'm also linking an installation video to this page for you to reference.
