Do Fuses Need To Be Removed When Flat Towing 2014 Cadillac SRX

Question:

I just ordered new base plates for our 2014 SRX from Etrailer on Monday. I ordered the Roadmaster brand, Is there a video that shows how to install? The 2014 does not use a key. Do I need to pull any fuses to flat-tow? Thank You

We have not had the opportunity to create a video of the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, item # RM-523162-4, being installed on a 2014 Cadillac SRX.

Per the Roadmaster fit guide, removing the fuses is not required. We are updating the website to reflect this.

I researched online and looked at the owners manual for your vehicle. You can look at page 10-84 of the owners manual for the procedures that need to be followed when flat towing, (it is called dinghy towing in the manual).

There are five items you will need when you are flat towing a vehicle. You will need the base plates which are vehicle specific, a tow bar that is compatible with the base plates, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking.

I have attached links to a few articles that may help when flat towing a vehicle.
