What Causes Blue Screen While in Reverse on Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera System

When putting the truck in reverse I get a blue screen but not all the time

The blue screen on the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System part # HM50002 is caused by water getting into the camera and unfortunately there is no way to fix this. That said, you'll be happy to know this issue was fixed when they redesigned it. This new redesigned model can be found here, Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System part # HM50002.
