The Prodigy P3 brake controller part # 90195 is widely considered to be the best brake controller around and would be what I would recommend for your 2022 Ford F-350 towing a larger horse trailer. It uses an inertia sensor to determine how hard you are applying the truck brakes to decide how hard to apply the trailer brakes which gives it a very smooth but still powerful stopping force. Your horses will appreciate it as it won't feel like the trailer brakes are applying and releasing at a different time than the truck brakes which makes for a rougher ride quality.

The P3 also is very reliable, easy to install, and easy to understand since it has a display that uses full words instead of codes to decipher. To install it in your truck you'd just need the part # 22292 which plugs in under the dash and you'd be set.
