Replacement Breakaway Battery Charger For Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Kit
Question:
My hydrastar trailer brake system stopped working. The breakaway does still operate. After testing the circuit, I have traced the fault to the charger located on the positive lead from the battery. Can the charger be replace, or a substitute installed. If so what parts do I need?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you can replace the Trailer Breakaway Kit Battery Charger # 20011 on the Hydrastar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Kit # HS381-9067. You will only need to wire in the new charger in place of the old charger.
Be sure to use Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05744-5 to seal up the electrical wiring and prevent damage from corrosion.
