Also, should it be possible to wire it in the fuse box inside the car instead of going outside to the battery, using a free slot or fuse tap an existing one? This will be a nicer install in my opinion and less complicated. Let me know the reason why it must absolutely cpnnect directly to the battery. Thanks for your help.

The trailer wiring # C59496 that fits your 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV does need to connect directly to the vehicle battery as this is what the kit draws power from for the trailer lights. This prevents any shorts on the trailer wiring from damaging your vehicle wiring. The best way to route the wire will be to look for a grommet on the firewall where there is currently wire already passing through it to the vehicle interior and use it to run the wire through.
