Minimum Speed Before Blue Ox Patriot Supplemental Braking System Engages
Question:
How fast does the vehicle need to be moving before the system will start working

I reached out to Blue Ox and they informed me with the Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System # BLU37TR you will generally not notice any braking assist until you are going 40mph.
I thought that was a relatively high speed to go before the brakes activated so I also contacted Demco about their SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 and they informed me with their brake system you will get braking at 20mph. This is their braking system for a motorhome that has hydraulic brakes. If you have air brakes on your motorhome you will need their Air Force One # SM99243.
