The B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3400-5W comes with a square shank and is only compatible with the B&W Gooseneck hitch with the square receiver.
Since your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 has the puck system you need the B&W Companion # BWRVK3775 instead which is the same hitch just with a different base that installs directly to the pucks on your truck.
We've actually seen that the stationary B&W Companion # BWRVK3710 will work with the short bed Silverado as long as your 5th wheel trailer has a modern v-shaped front. A lot of times we recommend going with a slider for the short bed but this is one instance where we have had other customers confirm the fitment of the fixed hitch so you have a few options to choose from.
Attached are some review videos for you to check out as well as a photo of one of the reviews for the short bed setup for you to reference.
