How Well Does The TruXedo Pro X15 Tonneau Cover Handle Carwash Chemicals
Question:
Hello, I live in MN and love the TruXedo Pro X15 and its design, so I did purchase one and waiting for it to be delivered to replace my current tonneau cover on my 2017 ford f150 6.5 box. My question is how does it hold up to automatic commercial car washes through the winter months as well as summer for that matter and the chemicals they use??? Has there been any testing on this question I ask other than design??? Durability??? I know it comes with a lifetime warranty as this was one of the selling points as well for my decision along with the design and quality. Thank You,

I spoke with TruXedo about how well the TruXedo Pro X15 Soft Tonneau Cover # TX1498301 holds up when going through the car wash and their tech stated as long as the tonneau cover is properly installed and maintained throughout its lifespan that you shouldn't see any damage from the carwash.
She did state that petroleum, citrus, silicone based chemicals can have a negative effect on the covers but would take a lot to really show any damage.
