Can I Use a Fixed B&W Companion Hitch in a Short Bed F-250 w/ the Factory Prep Package?
Question:
Hey guys, When I pull up the details for the hitch and enter my truck 2019 F-250 6-3/4inch bed puck system / prep package Does it say this because the nose of some 5th wheels campers can sit too close of the back window of the truck when you turn ? or it actually does not fit? The 5th wheel camper I have has a short nose thats also curved shaped so it should not be a issue Thanks

I would be happy to help clarify the issue you're encountering. The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package item # BWRVK3305 will fit in any of the Ford factory puck systems. This includes the one on your short bed 2019 Ford F-250.
Unless you are using a rotating pin box like the Reese Sidewinder item # RP77FR it is highly recommended to use a sliding hitch for short bed trucks. A rotating pin box moves the pivot point up to the trailer and gives you extra clearance when making tight turns.
If you don't have a rotating pin box and even though your camper nose is curved, I recommend using the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package item # BWRVK3370. This hitch gives you an extra 12" of travel when backing or making tight turns.
Our websites sorts based on truck bed length when it comes to 5th Wheel Hitches which is why it said yours was not confirmed to fit.
