Removing Lock Cores From Thule EasyFold XT Arms When Replacing The Arms
Question:
Hi There! If I am ordering Thule replacement arms for my Thule Easy Fold XT platform rack, can I use the old lock core from the old arm I'm replacing? Is it difficult or require special tools? Please advise. Thank you.

Yes, you will be able to move your lock cores from your old arms on your Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack # TH903202 when you install the new Short Arm # 7525491002 and Long Arm # 1500052414 assemblies. To move the locks you will need either the Change Key # 853-1251 if your lock cores have a serial number on the face of the lock core or the Key # TH42BJ if your lock cores do not have a key number on the face of the core. To remove the core simply slide in the change key and pull out to remove the core. Then you will be able to press them into the new arms and hold the lock core in the cylinder hole while removing the key.
