Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2016 Honda Odyssey
Question:
I need to add a 7 pin powered brake controller to my 2016 Honda Odyssey. What would you recommend? Are there advantages with going to a wireless system? It looks like I would still have to wire in the 7 pin system. It currently has a dealer installed 4 pin for my boat trailer. Thanks!

The advantage of using a wireless brake controller like the Curt Echo # C51180 is that the Upgraded Wiring Kit # ETBC7L is what you'll need, and this kit only has the power wire ran up to the battery as opposed to having to route wiring into the cab of your vehicle and making your connections there.
I recommend going with the Echo because it's easy to use and you aren't taking up precious leg room inside your vehicle. Once you've used the app to get your settings right where you need them I recommend setting the phone down and having the Manual Override Button # C83HR installed in an easy-to-reach location so you're still able to activate your trailer brakes in an emergency situation.
