Recommended Heavy Duty Hitch Receiver for a 2005 Ford F-250
Question:
I have a 2005 F250 V8. Was looking for the right trailer hitch and ball setup to tow a bumper pull horse trailer, total weight probably under 10Klbs but looking for a heavy duty setup. Can you advise which hitch and ball to buy? Many thanks!

Since you're wanting heavy duty, the best hitch for your 2005 F-250 is going to be the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver item # TLF1002. This hitch has plenty of capacity for your horse trailer with a 10,000 lbs gross towing weight. It has both a 2" and 2-5/16" receiver.
For a ball mount, you will want the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount item # BWTS20049B. This ball mount will fit a 2-1/2" hitch receiver. It has a 18,000 lbs capacity and a 7" drop. It has a 1-7/8", 2", 2-5/16" balls. The Tow and Stow is extremely popular with Ford trucks. I have linked a review video below.
