Recommended Frame Mounted Trailer Hitch Receiver For A Casita Travel Trailer

Question:

I would like to know if there is a frame mounted receiver which can be installed at the rear of a Casita travel trailer and capable of carrying a 250 pound motor scooter and the approx. 75 pound scooter rack while not maxing out the receiver. I was thinking of something in the 400 pound range which would give me a safety margininch of about 75 pounds over the combined weight of the scooter and rack.

You would need to install an adjustable RV hitch on your Casita Travel Trailer like the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # C13704. This hitch is designed to fit a frame width of 22" to 66" wide and has a tongue weight capacity of 500lbs.

Before selecting this hitch you will need to measure the distance between the inner walls of the frame rails. If this distance falls within 22" to 66" then you'll be good to go. If not, let me know what your frame width measurement is and I can find the correct fit for your application.
