What is the Distance From the Edge of the Truck Bed to Install Reese Base Rail Kit # RP30035
Question:
i,ve got a 2000 dodge 2500 v-10 4x4 4 door shorted i am trying to install a 16115 curt 160000 lbs 5th wheel assy . I dont know to distance to set my first rail . please help

In the installation instructions for the Reese Universal Base Rail Kit # RP30035 that you referenced the first rail which is closest to the tailgate of your truck should be 28-7/16 inches from the rear edge of the truck bed to rear edge of the base rail as noted in the attached picture.
I have attached a brief installation video of this rail kit on a 2002 Dodge Ram.
