Height of Bikes When Loaded on Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes
Question:
We need to mount this rack on the front of our Ram 5500 to carry 2, 26-1/2inch wheeled mountain bikes. Do you believe the height of the bikes when mounted will exceed 10inch above the grill? Difficult question I know.

Expert Reply:
The Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # S94FR has a 6-1/2" shank rise which means your bikes wheels will be resting 6-1/2" above the hitch receiver on your Ram 5500. Since I don't know where your hitch receiver sits in relation to the height of the front of your truck or the height of your bikes you'll just need to take this information and hold your bikes 6-1/2" above your front hitch receiver to see where they will be sitting once everything is installed.
