The output of the Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter w/ Transfer Switch # PD64FR is in AC power and batteries are DC so this would not charge batteries. This is designed to take DC power like what normally runs to batteries and convert it to AC power like what houses run on. To charge batteries you'd something like the Progressive Dynamics 45 amp charger part # PD9245C.
