1-1/4" Bike Rack Options for 2 Bikes That Sticks Out 15" or Less When Folded Up Without Bikes
Question:
I have a 2020 Infiniti Q50 with 1-1/4 trailer hitch. I would like to know the distance the rack will hang out from the back of my vehicle to the farthest part of the rack. I have a shallow garage and am looking for a 2 bike rack that will allow me to leave the rack on the back of the car when I shut the garage door. I need to find a rack that the farthest part is 15inch from the back of the vehicle.

The Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # Y02445 is the best option we have if you want a platform rack for your bikes. This rack measures 15" from the center of the hitch pin hole when folded up. This is the most narrow rack we have when folded. You would just need to measure 15" out from your hitch pin hole to see if this will fit. I have also included a video that shows this rack being measured when folded.
If the HoldUp rack will not work, we do have a hanging option. The Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # Y02457 measures just 11-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the mast which will be approximately 13" of total length. I have included a video showing these measurements as well.
