Comparing Curt 13390 and 13206 Trailer Hitches for a 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
Might I ask what the difference in dimensions are, both years share the same chassis

Helpful Expert Reply:
The difference between the Curt # 13390 and # C13206 hitches is that the 13206 sits up closer to the bumper by about 1/4" and the receiver sits out further to the back of the vehicle by about 1/8" - aside from that the dimensions are the same.
Curt made this redesign and just started listing the 13206 for the Subaru Outback Wagons starting with the 2014-2015 model year. Since Curt recommends the 13206 for your 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon that's what I recommend going with as well.
Attached is an installation video of this hitch on a 2017 Outback Wagon for you to check out. If you let me know what you plan on using the hitch for I'd be more than happy to make some recommendations for you!
