Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch For A 2005 Chevy Silverado 3500 With Puck System
Question:
Hello I’m looking for a 25k 5er for a 05 3500 duramax. Have the 4 puck holes in my bed. Has under bed rails. Would like to stick with that if I can. Need help finding hitch options. Thanks so much

If you have a puck system in the bed of your 2005 Chevy Silverado 3500 then you have an old Reese Elite underbed kit, which follows Ford's puck spacing so you'll need a hitch designed for Ford pucks.
If you have an 8' bed then I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package # BWRVK3305. This hitch has the 25k capacity you're looking for and can drop right down into your puck system for easy installation or removal.
If you have a shorter bed then you'll need to use a rotating pin box with the # BWRVK3305 to gain additional turning clearance or a slider hitch like the Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package # C16545-16020. This hitch only has a 24k capacity but has the ability to slide and give you an additional 12" of turning clearance.
