Axle-Less System & Electric Brakes For 1998 Jayco Eagle 12 UDST
Question:
I have a 1998 Jayco Eagle 12 UDST. It has a 2500lb single rubber torsion axle with 10” hydraulic drums. The hydraulics are not functioning. Do you carry replacement torsion axles with electric brakes. For a straight swap? I’ve read rubber torsion axles have a limited service life. So replacing the entire axle with new brakes sounds like the best choice. Thank you!

We have an option for you, but do not have torsion axles for your 1998 Jayco Eagle 12 UDST. What we do have that will work is an axle-less system with electric brakes, and while there aren't 2,500 lb options, there is a 3,500 lb system:
- Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w/ Electric Brake Hubs # A35RS545E
The # A35RS545E comes with the hub and drum and electric brakes, and give you an improved ride compared to a traditional through-axle. The reason for that is the Timbrens aren't connected by an axle beam, so they work independently, meaning if there is a bump on one side of the road it won't rattle your entire trailer. The system also has progressive springs built in which are shock absorbers that allow a much smoother, more comfortable ride than the leaf springs found on standard axles.
