Feeding T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Through Floor Pan and Mounting to Hitch

Question:

Is there any way to install this part similar to the OEM installation, a plug mounted near the trailer hitch? I have a 2018 VW Tiguan SE and the draw tite hitch

You have the Class III Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, 76192 on your 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan, this has an integrated mounting point for a 4-pole flat trailer connector. I suggest the Brophy bracket, # BK4F.

Simply install the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118811 per included instructions and then put the 4-way flat plug through an existing opening in the floor pan of your Tiguan. There will be multiple holes in the pan with grommets, plugs. Pull one of these and feed the plug and wire through then replace the grommet/plug having trimmed for fitment if necessary. Or, you can simply cut/drill a new location to feed through and back fill will a silicon sealant for weather protection.
