Using this hitch may interfere with the hands-free liftgate sensor and functionality may be very limited or possibly lost.
The trailer hitch has a bolt-on installation with no welding required, and has a gloss black powder coat finish that is over a protective base coat that offers superior rust resistance. The maximum gross trailer weight of the hitch is up to 6,000 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight up to 900 pounds. I would recommend checking your vehicle's manual to find the proper towing capacity for your vehicle.
When it comes to wiring your vehicle I recommend The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # TK99FR. Using this harness will make it to where your trailer's stop, turn, and tail lights mirror your vehicle's stop, turn, and tail lights. This harness plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the trim panel near the driver's side rear seat belt bracket. You will have to pull back the side trim panel to access this harness.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. The Mounting Bracket # 18144 is sold separately and is recommended to keep the connector secure.
