Replacing Ducted 13,500 Btu Dometic RV AC with Advent 15,000 Btu

Question:

I have a 2015 Palimino Columbus with a Dometic 13500 unit on the front that is not blowing cold air. I need to check the capacitor this weekend, but likely need a new unit. the MFG # is 541815A711J0, Prod no 991763128, Serial No 4409946. couple of questions. all AC air is ducted to the corners and the the bottom of the ACunit is not exposed on the celling inside. Are all of the removal bolts accessable from the top or is there something else I need to know. Second, If I replace the unit, can i go to a #15,000 BTU unit or do I need to stay with a 13500? Finally, will your unit work with the digital thermostat in the camper.

Yes, you can upgrade from a 13,500 Btu model to a 15,000 Btu like the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup part # ACDOM150 which will use the existing connections therefore you can retain the digital thermostat. In regards to installation, if you have a ducted unit currently, the hardware will be located on top of the roof under the shroud.
