Question:
How tight a fit is this cover on a 12foot boat? Would the extra length be suitable for covering an outboard motor?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Classic Accessories Stellex V-Hull Fishing Boat Cover # CA20144 is designed to fit snuggly on a 12'-14' v-hull boat. The width of the boat should not exceed 68" at the widest point. You want the cover to fit snug so that any wind that hits the boat will not allow the cover to move and possibly chafe, creating wear or damage to the cover.
For the outboard motor I recommend finding a cover that will encase the entire outboard. This will help prevent any critters from building nests inside the motor while it is in storage. The leftover portion of the boat cover is not a suitable cover for the outboard.
