Troubleshooting A Jensen TV That Randomly Shuts Off During Use
Question:
We have a TV that works for about a 1/2 hour or hour then the picture goes out but sound remains. Funny thing is this is the second Jensen TV, warranty replacement for same issue. We have a Lance 2017 model 1995 trailer. Should I change the fuse on my Lance trailer for our TV ? Btw, the first TV worked for 3 years.

If you're playing sound through your RV stereo, like the # JWM60A, that could explain why the sound is still playing even with the tv screen off. My first thought is that you may have a sleep timer on the tv, which is turning it off at the set time. Go into your tv settings and check to make sure the sleep timer is turned off.
Next you can check the power supply. Use a digital multimeter # PT89ZR to test the voltage at the tv to ensure it's getting full power (most likely it runs off DC and should be reading 12v DC, if AC then 110v - 120v). You can also check the fuse or circuit breaker that the tv runs to see if it's blown or faulty.
Try these steps out and let me know if it helps. If not then let me know what model number your tv is and I can look into this issue more and see if it's a common complaint from consumers.
