How to Reduce Bounce on a 2020 Grand Cherokoee w/ Factory Air Suspension While Towing

I have a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 4x4, with air leveling suspension and am trying to tow a travel trailer, 22 foot in length, 3500 lbs dry and 4500 loaded. I have it connected to a Reese Pro Se series weight distribution hitch 10K GVWR and 550 lb bars, with sway control. Vehicle tow rating is 6200 with factory tow package and payload 1050. I have towed mostly with empty trailer and vehicle, so payload likely only in 600-700 range. With this configuration set up and level, I seem to get a float or bounce in the front end when going over bumps, bridge transitions, etc. This is at speeds up to 50 I have not had the rig faster due to this Could this float/bounce be related to the hitch not being dialed in correctly? Or is this more about the tow vehicle struts, tires, etc? I have not been in a loss of control situation with it, but it is significant enough to be unnerving.

The air suspension in your 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee isn't working properly with your weight distribution system and its working in contrast to it. That's why its lifting your front end up and causing the uneasiness. Weight distribution systems are typically not recommended to be used with factory air systems because they are auto leveling. If you can shut yours off I recommend doing that. If not try hauling your trailer with the spring bars unhooked for a few miles and see if that helps you. There are no other options for suspension enhancement for your Jeep.

If you still want the sway control option for your trailer, I recommend using the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control - 1 to 4 Axles item # 335TSC-1000. This unit corrects sway by activating your trailer's electric brakes. This system monitors trailer movement and calculates most effective braking action to correct sway.
