Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 1989 Ford F-350 Pickup Truck
Question:
I saw this product has a 5000 lbs towing capacity. My bumper is 15,000 lbs. With my bumper being able to tow more does that increase the towing capacity of this adapter? Its on a 1989 ford f350

With the Curt 2" Trailer Hitch # C19031 only rated for up to 5,000lbs that is the most it is capable of towing. The maximum tongue weight is 500lbs. This receiver is a universal type fit that mounts on bumpers with 10-1/2" between center on the bolt holes.
I do believe on your 1989 Ford F-350 the bumper is not rated for the same amount that you can haul with a Trailer Hitch Receiver that attaches to the frame. I recommend using the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25122 on your F-350. This receiver is rated for up to 16,000lbs with up to 1,600lbs of tongue weight.
