Recommended Brake Controller For A 2017 Ford F-150 With Factory 7 Way

Question:

Hi all! I am driving a 2017, F-150, 2.7 engine, XLT, with max tow package. I have had the truck about 6 months and very pleased. I am pulling a 2017 Roo 23ws. Everything seems to handle fine, but truck does not have a trailer brake controller. I thought it was braking the trailer, but Ford dealer says no brake controller/adjuster means no brakes on the trailer. Truck has backup assist and tow setting on the shifter. Is it really possible that Ford would sell a tow package truck without a adjuster to signal brakes on the trailer? That seems crazy. For what it’s worth, brake lights on trailer work fine. Adding a brake controller is going to cost me almost $500. Not sure what to do...

When it comes to installing a brake controller on your 2017 Ford F-150 with factory 7 way The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # 90195 and The Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 22292 will work perfect for you.

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 controller automatically levels when mounted within a 360-degree vertical range, it includes a customizable LCD display, it has up to 5 storable settings, has 3 boost levels, and is transferable between vehicles.

The wiring # 22292 will plug into the built-in connector beneath your vehicle's dashboard, and the other side will plug in directly to the controller.

I would contact Ford with your VIN number and see why you didn't get the adjuster.

I attached a review video link below.
