Recommended Trunk Bike Rack For A 2012 Cadillac SRX

Question:

Im looking for the best trunk bike rack to fit 3 bikes on a 2012 Cadillac SRX. I dont have a tow package nor do I plan to get one. The bikes are 1 mountain bike, 1 youth and 1 toddler with training wheels. I will likely use it mostly locally but would like to be able to make a longer road trip from time to time. Of course I want the most stable to secure the bikes and not scratch them as well as not denting or damaging my car. Suggestions?

I do have a bike rack that may work for your 2012 Cadillac SRX, the Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms, part # Y02637. The three bike option, part # Y02638, will also fit your vehicle, but your toddler bike will not fit on the rack. The bike frame is too small and there is not a frame adapter to fit a bike of that size.

The HangOut 2 comes with the same QuickTrigger hub system, which will allow you to set your trunk bike rack to fit the shape of your trunk or hatch. Most trunk bike racks will only fit bikes down to the 20" wheel size. So this rack will work for the youth bike if it is a 24" or 20" kid's bike. You will have to use a frame adapter bar, part # 64005, to carry the bike on the Yakima HangOut 2 bike rack.
