Will Yakima HangOut Trunk Bike Rack Fit a 2016 Ford Explorer Sport

Hello, I am wondering why your site indicates the Yakima Hangout3 is not a fit for a 2016 Ford Explorer as the Yakima website indicates that this rack does fit and work with this vehicle even with the panoramic sun roof. Is there a specific reason why this rack isnt recommended for the 2016 Ford Explorer on your site?

We try to do a good job at keeping our fitguide up to date but every once in a while a vehicle fitment will fall through the cracks and this looks like one of those instances. The Yakima HangOut, 2-Bike # Y02637 and 3-Bike # Y02638, will fit your 2016 Ford Explorer just fine and I've sent in an update to have that changed.
For this installation you'll need to place the upper and lower hooks in anchor mode and set the Joe Measurement to 21".
Attached is a review video for you to check out. Please note if any of your bikes is a kid's bike or lacks a horizontal top tube then you'll need an adapter bar like part # Y02531 to load your bike(s) and have the proper ground clearance.
