From my available research, your 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTD already comes with a factory 7-way. Since this is the case, you do not need any additional wiring to prep for a brake controller.
For the brake controller itself, I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles # C51180. There are a few reasons why I always recommend the Echo over all other controllers. First off, the Echo is true plug-and-play controller that doesn't require any additional plug-in or splice-in harnesses to function. Secondly, the Echo is Bluetooth compatible with your smart device. From your device, you can navigate and select your settings with the controller. Also, since the Echo does not interfere with your Silverado's computer, you do not need to worry about any signal interference.
I went ahead and attached a video that shows the installation process of the Echo.
