Will my 2014 Ram 2500 Have To Have The Factory Brake Controller Unprogrammed By a Dealership?

I have a 2014 ram 2500 with factory brake control. If I use the aftermarket one that is plug and play , will I need to go to a dealership to have factory removed from computer to avoid a warning light.

If you are to install a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 on your 2014 Ram 2500 you will need to have your dealership remove the programming for the factory brake controller. The Wiring Adapter # 3023-P will allow you to plug and play the Tekonsha controller once the factory controller has been removed properly.
