Wiring Harnesses For a 2007 Dodge Dakota With Factory Tow Connection Points
Question:
Hello, I am looking for a trailer wiring harness for a 2007 Dodge Dakota. I have had the dealer check and this particular truck has a factory plug that a wiring harness can be plugged into with out splicing. Is this something that you would carry? Thanks

I have a few options for your 2007 Dodge Dakota that has the factory tow connectors. Be sure to check your fuse panel for the necessary fuses to power the trailer connector functions as they may have been left out from the factory.
First is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118381 which is only going to give you a 4-way flat connector.
Second is the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector # HM42190 that will give you a 7-way connector.
Finally the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket # HM40975-11933 is my recommendation. This is the same connector that can be found on most newer trucks that has a 4-way and 7-way connector. This will help to reduce the need for carrying an adapter if you tow trailers that use different connectors.
