Take a look at the video I have linked showing the isntallation of a P3, # 90195, on a 2004 Ford F-150. The 2004 and 2008 F-150s are part of the same generation so this video is a great guide for you to follow. I have also included a link to a video showing installation of a different brake controller on a 2008 F-150 for you.
Basically, you will need a spot that is within easy reach of the driver and that fits the mounting requirements of the brake controller as indicated in its instructions which I have linked for you. In the videos, our installers put the brake controllers to the left of the center console at the bottom of the dash and in the pocket on the lower part of the center console.
You will also need to use wiring harness # 3035-P to go from the controller to the port on the truck.
