It depends on if your boat trailer has free-backing brakes. These brakes will allow you to drive in reverse without the actuator activating your trailer's brakes. The Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator - Drum - Zinc - 2" Ball - 7,000 lbs, part # DM72VR, will work if you have the free-backing brakes.
If not, you will need Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator w/ Electric Lockout - Disc - Zinc - 2" Ball - 7,000 lbs, part # DM62VR.
