Troubleshooting Prodigy P2 Brake Controller SH Error Code
Question:
I am getting code S.H displayed and my trailer is not hooked up. The problem is within the truck itself. I see nothing suspicious when tracing the wiring. Of course it is all in a loom so cant see the individual wires. The controller is about 2 years old. Can the controller be faulty and give the code?

The SH error code of a Prodigy P2 part # 90885 does indicate that there is a short detected. I know you checked the wiring at the rear of the vehicle but I would also check the wiring at the controller as well. It could be there is exposed wire there that is causing the problem. It also could be that you just need a hard reset of the controller by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
If nothing is there an internal problem of the controller is likely and replacement would be the next step.
