Troubleshooting Power Issues With A Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System
Question:
We have a new Furrion system, and a brand new Venture Sonic prewired for the Furrion backup camera. The camera worked on the back of the trailer for like 10 minutes, but since that first time it will not power on at the back of the trailer. The blue light comes on inside the cab when connected to the 12V, but not when plugged in to the back of the trailer. The trailer is plugged into the vehicle properly, the vehicle lights are on. Is there something wrong with the brand new wiring?

It sounds to me like your Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS43TASF isn't receiving the correct amount of power and thus giving you this issue. To solve it you have two options:
Option 1: You can hook the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter w/ Power Switch for Furrion RV Observation Camera # FR87PR into your vehicle's 7-way to provide the correct amount of power to your camera.
Option 2: You can splice in the PWM Filter # VGR64VR inline behind the camera to provide the correct amount of power to your camera.
Of the two I recommend option 2 since it's a more permanent solution that won't be exposed to the elements and could be damaged or stolen.
