Cannot Adjust Power on Curt TriFlex C24VV Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
I have recently purchased Curt TriFlex along with wiring harness for 2012 Honda Pilot with tow package. Initially when I connected it I was able to adjust the power setting. After driving few miles when I try to do an adjustment it just jumps . Boost is off, I have tried to unplug the controller and plug it back in after 20 minutes which essentially should reset it. When I press on the brake pedal it just displays 13. Any suggestions/ideas as to what may have gone wrong? Thank you

I've checked with my contact in the Tech Support department at Curt regarding your issue.
The problem you're experiencing is caused by a short in the brake output circuit somewhere in the trailer wiring. Begin at the trailer connector and trace the output circuit (usually a blue wire) rearward from the connector to the trailer brakes. Look for loose connections, pinched wires or wires with cracked or worn insulation. Repair the damaged section of wire using # 10-1-1 10 gauge brake wire and # DW05745-5 heat shrink butt connectors.
