Lift Kit For 2016 Coachmen Viking 17BH Travel Trailer & How to Determine Larger Wheel
Question:
I have a 2016 Coachmen Viking 17BH travel trailer with a Lippert #2604036 axle. It looks like the 425750 lift kit would work to add more ground clearance. Do you know what wheel size I can increase too? It currently has 13” wheels. Also is there an add on shock kit for this trailer? Thanks

You are better off with what is called an over/under kit, the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00.
The # K71-384-00 lifts your trailer approximately the same amount as your axle's diameter plus the height of the leaf spring pack, so you'll have more room. Then, you can go to a larger tire and wheel, the Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire with 14" White Wheel # AM32153.
You'll have the needed height if you go with the over/under kit and this tire and wheel, so you'll just want to measure the amount of space you currently have between the inside of your tire and your trailer's frame rail; you'll want at least 1-1/2" to be able to use the larger # AM32153.
As for a shock kit, there is one so long as you have a minimum of 4" of clearance between the inside of the tire and the I-beam flange on your trailer. If so, you can use the Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit # LC281255.
