How is the pin retained?

Barrel hinges like the Weld-On Barrel Hinge with Grease Zerk # MA29ZR can be installed in two ways. One where the hinges face the same direction which allows the door to be lifted off the hinges if ever needed and two where the hinges face each other so that when they are welded on fully assembled to the trailer the door can never be removed.
