Fit of Yakima FrontLoader # Y02103 Roof Mounted Bike Rack on 2011 Toyota RAV4 with OEM Crossbars

Question:

Will the Yakima Front Loader Bike Rack fit the two cross bars that came stock with the stock factory roof rack on our 2011 Toyota Rav4? And can two Front Loaders be installed, side-by-side, to transport two bikes at once? We are currently using a Yakima spare tire mount 2-bike rack that we bought from you. It has been great, but the spacing for the bikes is not enough to hold them when we have accessory rear luggage racks with panniers mounted on them. Thats NOT a fault in Yakimas design or in anything yall told us. Weve simply developed an interest in hauling our bikes to places where we then want to ride the bicycles for a few days while camping out, so we need beefy racks to hold camping gear and luggage on our bikes. A rooftop rack looks like it would allow us to space the bikes further apart . . . and, since Im 64inch and built like a Sasquatch, theres no problem in getting the bikes atop the Rav4! ^ Thanks very much for your help!

According to Yakima, their FrontLoader is indeed compatible with the OEM crossbars on your 2011 RAV4.

You will have plenty of room on your roof to carry two bikes side-by-side. I have linked you to an install video showing the FrontLoader being installed on an older 3rd generation RAV4.

In case your riding partner is not tall like Sasquatch, we offer a tire step part # HE4040 that would make accessing the roof much easier.
