Using a 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter on Sidewinder Pin Box
Question:
My dad has a sidewinder hitch on his fifth wheel. My question is will this adapter mount to the sidewinder if sidewinder is locked in position so that he can keep his swing radius with his short bed dodge 2500?

The better solution is to replace the pin box with something such as the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter, # RP94716-61301. Adding the # AM3100 adapter will increase stress on the Sidewinder pin box in way it is not designed to handle. I recommend against doing this. If the current Sidewinder pin box is for a 0719, 1621 or 1621HD, use part number, # RP94716. Use part number # RP94716-61301 for pin boxes, 0115, 1716 or 1116.
