Solution for Truck with Gooseneck Hitch and Trailer with Sidewinder Pin Box  

Question:

I am purchasing an 05 F250 6.0 super duty with a short bed and the truck already has a gooseneck hitch installed however I already own a fifth wheel camper that already has a sidewinder installed on it. Is there an adapter so I can pull said camper with said truck?

You are in a tough solution without an easy solution. There are no fifth wheel hitches that attach to a gooseneck hitch that can be used with Sidewinders since that attachment method puts a lot of stress on the hitch that only attaches at a center post.

Best option would be to replace the Sidewinder with a Goose Box like the # RP94716-61301 which would be if you have a 0115, 1716 or 1116 pin box or the part # RP85FR which is for the very popular 0719, 1621 and 1621HD pin box.
