Replacement Trailer brakes for a River Wildwood 30KQBSS
Question:
What would cause 1 out of 4 tires to brake intermittently while backing up my camper trailer? I could pull forward and it would release then I could continue backing. The trailer was disconnected from the wiring harness while I was backing and it would still do it. It would also occasionally pop and release while backing slowly.

It sounds like your 2018 Forest River Wildwood 30KQBSS Travel Trailer has a bad brake assembly. Since you are still having issues with the trailer disconnected we can rule out a ground or wiring issues. We have both a left and right hand assembly available depending on which side of your trailer you're having problems with.
For the Left Hand side you will want the Dexter Electric Brake Assembly for 4.4K Axles item # K23-462-00.
For the Right Hand side you will want the Dexter Electric Brake Assembly for 4.4K Axles item # K23-463-00.
