Determining The Proper Height Setting For A B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch On A 2011 Ford F-250
Question:
I have a duramag flatbed on a 2011 f250. Ive purchased a 2022 5th wheel and wanna make sure the 5th wheel companion hitch will work with the setup the way its installed. They installed it to the frame and cut a hole in the deck of the flatbed so the hitch is below it. I know theyd have to widen the hole to fit the hitch in but just wanna make sure height wise it will be ok. Ive included a picture

It doesn't look like the picture came through, however for your 2011 Ford F-250, you'll just need to set the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W to allow for 6" of clearance from the bed rails to the nose of your 5th wheel, while still keeping your 5th wheel hitch level when hooked up.
To determine the proper height setting you'll want to measure from the top of your truck bed floor to the ground, and then from the pin box to the ground when parked on a level surface.
The difference between these measurements is the height you'll need.
