RAS Suspension Enhancement System for a 2016 Ford F-150
Question:
Hello, I have a 2016 Ford F150 with max towing cap with the V6 twin turbos. We pull a 32foot camper trailer. We currently use a weight dist hitch. Im looking for something that will help when driving on highways that create this up and down motion I think some call it porposing. I really like the reviews on the RAS3611-HD. Side winds are an issue as well. Thanks

A RAS System actively strengthens the leaf springs in your 2016 Ford F150. This would address that up and down motion you are encountering. This system allows you to adjust the springs according to the typical load you carry. If you aren't getting the result you desire you can tighten them up if they are a little too stiff for you you can loosen them up. When under a heavy load, leaf springs are especially susceptible to axle wrap, which can cause wheel hop. Wheel hop is when the tires lose their grip on the road, causing a jarring, up-and-down movement. Axle wrap occurs when the circular motion of the tires cause the leaf springs to twist or rotate. If the leaf springs twist far enough, wheel hop can occur. RAS stabilizes your leaf springs by absorbing the force of the load they're trying to support. We have two options available for your 2016 F-150 depending on whether or not your truck is 2WD or 4WD
For 2WD you will want the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty item # RAS94FR.
For 4WD you will want the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit item # RAS3611-Y.
The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty item # RAS3611-HD you referenced will not fit your truck.
