What Transmission Cooler do You Recommend for My 2017 Toyota Sienna?

Question:

Good afternoon. I have a 2017 Toyota Sienna XLE. The vehicle did not come with the towing package and the local toyota dealer is not being very helpful. I added the 3500lb curt hitch and wire harness from this site a few years ago to use on a tiny trailer and a bike rack. I recently got an aluminum cargo trailer that is close to 1000lb. I would like to know if my van had the transmission cooler or anything else in the factory tow package installed. When researching it looked like lots of model years the only thing the tow package added was the hitch, and other years there were upgraded components under the hood. Also should I add the after market transmission cooler from this site to the sienna? I would like to be able to safely tow the trailer and load that is 2500-3000lb without causing unnecessary wear and tear on car. Thank you for your help!

Typically, tow packages come with customized dash plug ports, a 4-way wiring harness, a 7-way wiring harness, a hitch receiver, and a transmission cooler. These are the standard tow package components that come with many models.

With that being said, a transmission cooler extends the overall life of your transmission (especially if you wish to tow the 2.5k-3k trailer often). We only carry coolers for the 3.5L V6 engine. If this is the engine you have, I recommend the Flex-a-lite Transmission Cooler - Plate and Fin - 17 Row - Barbed Fitting # FLX400117. This set comes with 3/8" barbed fittings and comes with clamps and hoses required for installation.
