We can help you out with the right B&W Turnoverball gooseneck for your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, and I verified for you that the correct fit for your truck is the following part number:
- B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1067
The # BWGNRK1067 is a fit for both the 8 foot and 6-1/2 foot beds of '05 Silverado 2500HD, and includes the hitch, installation brackets and hitch ball. The Turnoverball is a really smart choice for a gooseneck hitch for your truck, as it is considered the best hitch in the industry due to its square base, which ensures the most stability and a much quieter ride than gooseneck hitches that use a ball with a round base.
The square base prevents the ball from rotating, stabilizing the connection to the gooseneck coupler, which is what minimizes the noise. The square base also makes it much simpler to line up the pin when securing the ball, which is a nice feature for convenience. The only other thing you may need if you don't have one is a gooseneck wiring harness, and the correct fit for your Chevy is the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C56070.
